If your driver’s license (DL), identification (ID) card, or commercial driver’s license (CDL) has been lost, stolen, or damaged, you may request a replacement.

It’s important to renew driver’s licenses (DLs), identification (ID) cards, and provisional instruction permits before they expire.

During the online REAL ID application process, you will be prompted to upload documents that prove identity (e.g., valid passport or birth certificate) and residency (e.g., utility bill, bank statement).

If you are eligible, the governmental or non-profit program will give you a completed Verification for Reduced Fee Identification Card form (DL 937) to take to DMV to apply for your reduced fee ID card.
